Ahamad Hassan - Consultant Neurologist

Consultant neurologist and senior clinical lecturer University of Leeds.
I was appointed as a consultant neurologist with interest in stroke in 2006. I trained in Leeds and London. I deal with patients on the acute stroke unit on ward 21 LGI and also see patients in the rapid access TIA clinic at Seacroft hospital. I have a particular interest in young onset stroke, acute treatments including thrombolysis therapy. and secondary prevention. Actively involved in several research projects examining the role of genetic risk factors in stroke.
I am a member of the British Association of Stroke Physicians and Association of British Neurologists.
